Laura Napoli was born and raised in Vermont and continues to make the state her home. When not on the warm, clicky box coming up with new ways to torment her characters, she is the caregiver to three highly opinionated heating cats who provide her with heat, paw-sage, acu-paw-ture, and purr-brational therapy in exchange for snuggles, skritchies, and catnip treats.

Chief Edi-purr

Our Chief Edi-purr Molly Fish Napoli has been with Heating Cats Pawblishing long before we were a pawblishing company, but has worked hard to learn and is now our main Edi-purr. She is a hard task cat, keeping the Paw-thor in line and checking for all the extra or missing commas. She’s recently learned about em-dashes and has decided she likes the claw-mark-like punctuation and will claw anyone who says she’s AI.

Molly is also the ins-purr-ation for our main character, Marsee Chenzira, not just for her coat color, but because she was born a Duchess and won’t let anyone forget it.

Marketing Purr-ector

Clara Fish Napoli is our Senior Marketing Purr-ector. She began her career as our Top Cat Model but soon realized she needed a more creative outlet.

As a junior purr-ector, she was responsible for our highly successful autumn leaves campaign, and quickly clawed her way to the top of the marketing department.

All of the whacky unique, and fun ideas we come up with at Heating Cat Publishing are her ideas, not the Paw-thors. The Paw-thor just helps with typing it all up. (It’s really hard without opposable thumbs.)

Clawety Purrtrol Offurcer

Our Claw-ety Purr-trol Of-fur-cer Max inspects every shipment of books to ensure that they are in purr-fect condition, along with purr-trolling the grounds at Heating Cats Pawblishing to ensure that no unauthorized critters get in and damage the inventory. 

Max was also the ins-purr-ation behind the character Quinn Bluestone

Purr-onorable Mentions

In addition to the chief cats listed above, there are a number of people who make all of this possible, and without them, life would be a lot harder.

  • Mom: My mother is my Event Coordinator, one of my beta readers, and biggest champion. You’ll likely see her at markets and shows.

  • Staci: Aka, my Emotional Support Human. When Mom isn’t at events, Staci often is, especially at bigger events. As an introvert, peopling is hard for me, but Staci is always there when I need her most! Additionally, it was Staci who pushed me into finally publishing my series.

  • Jessie: My cover artist. Without her, my book covers would be laughably bad (trust me). Her work makes me bounce with glee with every cover reveal.

  • Tracy and Andrew: My two incredible narrators, who have brought my story to life better than I could have ever dreamed possible!

  • My Readers: Truly, who would I be without you? Thank you!

All of the cats at Heating Cats Pawblishing are highly trained heating cats, who will automatically seek out injuries that need care and appropriately provide soothing heat, accu-paw-ture, massage, and purr-bration therapy, in addition to their normal jobs.
